All Saints & All Faithful Departed 2024
All Saints & All Faithful Departed
All Saints’ Day is celebrated by the Church every year on November 1st and is followed on November 2nd by All Faithful Departed. The feast of All Saints is an ancient tradition that celebrates all the saints, known and unknown, throughout the generations. All Faithful Departed is the commemoration of all the faithful departed. Many churches combine the two celebrations into one for all those in our lives who have been examples of “virtuous and godly living.” We all have known saints in our lives, those unique people who have pointed the way to God through love, kindness, courage, mercy, and compassion.
During the services of Holy Eucharist on Sunday, November 3, we will give thanks for all the saints, those known to the Church and those known only to us, as we remember them in the Prayers of the People.
Please use the form below to list the names of those saints whom you wish to remember. The deadline to submit names is Monday, October 28.
