Children and Youth Summer Schedule
Children and Youth Summer Schedule
As we approach the summer months, the schedule for children and youth at St. Peter's will change, and there will also be a variety of fun and exciting opportunities over the summer!
Sunday Schedule:
Summer Opportunities
Camp Invention: July 15 - July 19
Give your young innovator an inspiring, action-packed summer adventure! Exciting, hands-on challenges will spark curiosity and build their confidence as they jump into limitless STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) fun with opportunities to imagine, experiment and create. Read more about what your camper will experience at camp and sign up on the Camp Invention website.
Vacation Bible School: July 29 - August 2
St. Peter’s Vacation Bible School (VBS) will be from Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2. This year we will use the fun and exciting "What a Mess!" curriculum. It is open to ages 6-12 and will be a wonderful week of activities and Christian education. VBS will begin at 9:00 a.m. each day with an option for children to stay until 11:30 a.m. or 3:00 p.m. (VBS ends at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 2). Contact Yvonne at for more information or to register. You can also register using this form.
Middle School Mission Week: June 3 - June 7
Middle School Mission Week with the Church of St. Michael and St. George is June 3rd to the 7th. This event is open to all current 5th-8th (rising 6th - 9th) grade students, and the programming will last from about 8:30am - 1pm each day. The youth spend the week learning about what it means to serve by serving at different non-profits around the city. High Schoolers are also welcome to sign up as volunteers who will be assisting in leading the middle schoolers as they serve throughout the week. This link will take you to sign up for the middle school mission week!
High School Mission Week: July 21 - July 26
The High School Mission Trip to Benton Harbor, Michigan is Sunday, July 21st to Friday, July 26th. Registration for this mission trip are now closed. These weeks are a safe place to ask hard questions about life to those who have experienced a bit more of it than me. I hope that you take some time to think about what it would look like for your youth to spend a week serving in a community different from their own, and to pray for them and the Benton Harbor community we’ll be serving.
