St. Peter's Parish Profile

Welcome to St. Peter’s. As a parish faith community and as individuals, our mission is to spread the love of God in word and in deed, in prayer and in outreach. These challenging times have prompted us to ask challenging questions, to consider who we are and what we can be. We now share the fruits of our deliberations, this compendium of information about the life of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church.

The Search Process

Generally speaking, the search is a 3-step process. In the first step we as a congregation define our purpose. In step 2, the committee assesses the criteria and skills of appropriate candidates, and then in step 3, the committee engages the best-fit candidates in a process of prayer and discernment to determine who the next rector of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will be.

Calling Consultant: Anne Schmidt

The vestry has hired an experienced calling consultant, Anne Schmidt.  Anne is the daughter of an Episcopal priest and resides in Dallas, TX with her husband, two college age children, and a cat. She is the Director of Evangelism and Welcome Ministries at the Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration. Anne is very familiar with St. Peter's, having served with Luke on the board of the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes. Anne’s expertise has already proven valuable, as she attended the initial committee retreat and instructed members in protocol, roles, and responsibilities as a committee.
