Year-End Giving

Year-End Giving

St. Peter’s ministry is possible because of parishioners’ faithful support. In thanks for God guiding us through a tumultuous few years, we hope you will prayerfully consider making a year-end gift in support of our church. Our 2023 Annual Giving Campaign will begin in January. Please be on the lookout for a campaign packet in your mailbox in the new year.  Questions?  Contact Janet Rouse at .

2022 YEAR-END GIVING GUIDELINES

Contributions to St. Peter’s Episcopal Church are tax deductible as allowed by law.  Maximum tax benefits depend on timing.  Please consider these important guidelines and reminders regarding giving to St. Peter’s in 2022.  Your continued contributions are appreciated.

IRS rules recognize a contribution on the day of delivery.  For contributions to be deductible for 2022, they must meet one of the following criteria:

  • By Mail:  Postmarked on or before December 31, 2022.
  • Hand-Delivery:  Received in the church finance office by noon, December 23, 2022.  Any donations dropped off after the office is closed will be treated as 2023 gifts.
  • Online Giving: Utilize our secure online giving option.  Please visit www.specstl.org/give and scroll to the middle of the page. Click on the Go to Online Giving box.
  • Text to Give: You can text SPECSTL to 73256 on or before December 31, 2022. Click on the link provided to complete your transaction.
  • Stock Transfer:  Please consult with your financial advisor and initiate your transfer early.  While some transfers may be received within days of your instructions, longer delays are possible, especially at year-end.  For example, mutual funds generally take much longer to transfer than individual stocks.  Please contact the church finance office for St. Peter’s brokerage account information.

Tax situations vary.  There have been changes in the tax law.  We encourage you to consult with your tax or financial advisor regarding any charitable donations or gifts.

The address for mailing, shipping, or hand-delivery of your check:

Please note that any gifts given via online bill payment services are dated on the actual date your bank transmits or otherwise removes the funds from your account, NOT on the date that you schedule or submit the transaction.

Please note on the memo line if it is a prepaid 2023 pledge. If no designation is made, your gift is automatically applied to the current year.

Thank you for your continued generosity in giving to St. Peter’s. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact the church office or Janet Rouse at: 314-993-2306 or
