Volunteer For Hot Lunch & Peace Meal

Volunteer Opportunities at St. Peter’s
Trinity Hot Lunch & St. John's Peace Meal
St. Peter’s partners with Trinity Episcopal St. Louis and with St. John’s Episcopal Church – Tower Grove to provide hot meals to our neighbors who are experiencing homelessness or food insecurity.
St. John's Peace Meal
St. John’s hosts The Peace Meal Project, a free fellowship meal served every Saturday from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. in the St. John’s Parish Hall. This ministry is rooted in the belief that “a meal is only a small piece of the puzzle when it comes to addressing poverty, inequality, and loneliness. But we believe that sharing a fellowship meal together brings us closer to the reign of God that we hope for: a community of justice, peace, and dignity for all people.”
St. Peter’s is seeking eight volunteers to assist with meal preparation, packaging, serving, and cleanup on the following dates from 2:00 – 5:30 p.m.:
Saturday, April 12
Saturday, June 14
Saturday, October 11
Saturday, November 15
St. John’s will provide meal planning, the menu, and ingredients, with a coordinator on-site each week.

Trinity Hot Lunch
Trinity Hot Lunch is provided on Sundays from 2:00 – 2:30 p.m. Six times a year, St. Peter’s prepares and serves a hot lunch at Trinity Central West End. The meal is cooked in the kitchen at St. Peter’s and then transported to Trinity, where it is served to guests who come for lunch. We need six to seven volunteers at Trinity from 1:15 to 3:00 p.m. to set up, serve, and clean up. The dates for the remainder of this year are:
Sunday, August 3
Sunday, September 7
Sunday, December 7
