Dear VBS Families,

Your children will have the chance to build their faith and learn about God’s love in fun and meaningful ways this summer by attending St. Peter’s Episcopal Church’s Vacation Bible School!  Please join us Monday through Friday, June 6-10, 9:00 am to Noon, for Christian Water Discovery.  Our VBS Campers, ages 4-10, will dive into God’s presence and learn from wonderful water stories in the Bible: the Creation Story, Noah’s Ark, Jonah and the Whale, Moses and the Red Sea, and Jesus’ Baptism.  Our plans are to be as safe as possible, and throughout the morning everyone will be in small groups, wearing masks, and weather permitting, be outside as much as we can.

In addition to our Campers, we will also have three groups of students who will be working with the children:  Junior Leaders, rising 5th and 6th Graders; Youth Leaders, rising 7th and 8th Graders; and Leaders in 9th Grade and older.  These students will be earning Service Hours for their volunteer service during the week of VBS.  If your older child would like to take advantage of this VBS leadership role, please let me know.

Campers in each age-group will start their morning with Children’s Chapel, and then explore fascinating science projects, sing memorable Christian songs, learn Bible stories, and make creative art projects.  In addition to that busy schedule, we will have special guest artists that will include visitors from the Bubble Bus, Mad Science, World Bird Sanctuary, and the St. Louis Hula Hoop Club.  Knowing the importance of Christian Service, we’ll also be making Blessing Bags and gathering collections of items for those in need.  We’ll be learning how to live a life that honors God by loving and helping others.
