With the call of the Very Rev. David Hodges as St. Peter’s new rector, the work of the Search Committee has come to a successful end. The parish cannot let the Committee disband, however, without offering tremendous thanks for the countless hours each member gave to the mission of bringing our 16th rector to St. Peter’s. From interviewing parishioners for the parish profile in the midst of a COVID shutdown, to sifting through resumes, ministry profiles, and hours of sermons recorded by candidates, the workload was heavy and, for the most part behind the scenes. Now is the perfect time to shine the light of gratitude on the members of St. Peter’s Search Committee:

And a special thanks to Chris Knight. In late 2019, during my tenure as Senior Warden, Chris accepted my request to lead what can be an arduous process, having no idea that the task would be made more complicated by the arrival of a pandemic soon after the Committee was formed. Chris, and all the members of the Committee, have shown us what faith can do in the face of adversity.

Thanks to your work during a very difficult time, St. Peter’s will thrive and grow for years to come.
