Thank You for a Wonderful VBS Week!

Thank You for a Wonderful VBS Week!

With a splash of love and laughter 55 Campers, Youth and Adult Leaders thoroughly enjoyed Christian Water Discovery Vacation Bible School, June 6-10.  The children built their faith all week and learned about God’s love as we studied the wonderful water stories in the Bible.  Our mornings began with Children’s Chapel, and then the children rotated to a variety of different classes that included cooking, sewing, science, Bible stories, art, movement and service projects.  Special Guest artists each day included the St. Louis Hula Hoop Club, The Bubble Bus, Mad Science and the World Bird Sanctuary.  We learned Noah’s Ark was 450 feet in length, 75 feet in width and 45 feet high.  The campers sewed and presented to the church a marvelous Crossed Keys Banner, and they baked Apple Crisp and No Bake Cookies that we gave to the Ladue Fire Department and Trinity Episcopal Church.  Memorizing Bible verses was very popular, and we gave thoughtful donations to the Humane Society and Haven of Grace.

We would especially like to thank the following Youth Leaders:  Margot Bade, Camilla Brauer, Marie Bush, Alice and Charlotte Craig, Annie and Caroline Danforth, Georgia and Lola Edgerton, Emma Fouke, Max and Will Frank, Finley and Matthew Hogan,  Hope Jernagan, Ryann Kaufman, Kathryne and Sam King, Grant and Laurion Nicholson, Campbell Perkins, Gabo and Johanna Sanchez, Audrey, Madison and Sloane Stockwell, Alex Vachon, and Robert Weiss.  Special thanks to our marvelous Adult Leaders:  Kathy Baker, Nancy Grimes, Jackie King, Chris and Sandy Knight, Cheryl Meyer, Annie Migdal, Kathy Nicholson, Elly Painter, David Sinden and Sarah Striler.  As always, thanks to the St. Peter’s Staff who gave their time and expertise so generously.

Ann Babington, VBS Director
