Stations of the Cross
Have you walked the path in the woods adjacent to St. Peter’s lower parking lot? It was created last fall by Peter Grace as his Eagle Scout project. We will be using the path during Holy week to host the Stations of the Cross devotional.
The Stations of the Cross is a devotion that stems from a processional route in the Old City of Jerusalem called Via Dolorosa. This route is believed to be the path Jesus walked on the day of his crucifixion. The Stations of the Cross has become a popular devotion in Western Churches as it allows Christians to recall the events of Jesus' life outside of Jerusalem.
You may come to St. Peter's path at any time during Holy Week. At the start of the path, you will see a flyer box with the handout needed for prayer at each station. There will be fourteen images as you walk through the path. Each image provides a powerful visual to all who pray the Stations of the Cross. You may pray the Stations of the Cross individually or with others. If you have any questions, please reach out to Annie Knapp at .
