Youth Kickoff Sunday, 9/8
This Sunday (9/8) we are having the first youth group gathering of the school year from 5pm - 6pm at St. Peter's! I have a series of games lined up and ready to go that are going to pin our middle school students against the high school students to see who will best the other. At the end, one group will be crowned champion and win the Kickoff Cup!
This semester my plan is to really focus on the topic of prayer and different ways that we can pray regularly that may be outside of what we may expect. Next week (09/15) we'll be playing some games that will help inform our discussions around prayer for this semester. Attached in the email is a spreadsheet with my plans for the rest of the semester. We'll be having youth group every Sunday evening (except 12/01) with our last gathering of the semester on 12/15.
I will also be offering confirmation classes for our 8th grade and up students starting on Oct. 6th from 9 - 10:15. If you would like for your youth to participate, please fill out this form so I have all the information to give to the Bishop. If you have questions about confirmation and why it's important, I'd be happy to chat about it with you and your youth!
I'm very much looking forward to this year. I love getting to see all the youth and to continue to teach them about the love that God has for them, different ways they can connect with God and how our faith is lived out in real time every day.
