St. Peter's Easter Offering

St. Peter's Easter Offering

This year's Easter Outreach Offering will support The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration in Bat Cave/Chimney Rock, NC, which was deeply affected by Hurricane Helene that ravaged the region. Many members of the parish lost nearly everything in the storm: homes, cars, businesses, possessions. Because of this, some left the region. After 22 weeks away from their building due to no access from destroyed roads and bridges, the congregation is now back in their building for regular worship.

Since the church is one of the only buildings intact in the area, they are providing a place for people to live, daily meals, building material storage and work space, a place for mission trip groups to stay, and hosting community gatherings. The church is currently clearing land to host an improved community hub for building. In all this, the people of Transfiguration and the gorge area are so thankful for all the help and support as they work to rebuild.

On Easter Sunday, you may contribute by using the white "special offering" envelopes in the pews, or by writing “Easter Outreach” in the memo line of your check. If you would like to contribute online, you may click the links below.
