St. Peter's Christmas Worship Schedule

Here is St. Peter’s complete schedule of Advent and Christmas season services:
SUNDAY, December 14 – A SERVICE OF CAROLS & LESSONS FOR ADVENT
- 5:00 p.m. – This popular service reflects the Advent season's growing anticipation. The St.. Peter's Choir sing music by G.P. da Palestrina, Aaron Copland, Judith Weir, Francis Pott, James MacMillan, Matthew Martin, Jessica Nelson, and Kerensa Briggs. A recital of Advent music, played by organists Joseph Arndt and David Sinden, begins a few minutes after 4:30 p.m. Guest speakers and clergy deliver the lessons. All are invited to a reception in the Undercroft following the service.
WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 17 – BLUE CHRISTMAS SERVICE
- 5:30 p.m. – For many, Christmas can be an occasion to seek solace rather than celebration. Remembering that
God shares in our sorrows as well as our joys, all are welcome to attend a “Blue Christmas” service.
Christmas Eve, WEDNESDAY, DecEMBER 24 - Services:
- 4:00 p.m. – Christmas Pageant and Holy Eucharist: Family friendly and led by the
children of St. Peter’s - 6:00 p.m. – Holy Eucharist: A merry, traditional service with the full choir
- 9:00 p.m. – Holy Eucharist: An intimate and festive gathering with carols
Christmas Day, thursday, December 25:
- 10:00 a.m. – Holy Eucharist: A joyful and quiet celebration of the birth of our Savior
FIRST SUNDAY AFTER CHRISTMAS, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 28:
- 10:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist with Choir
The Christmas offering will be designated for Beyond Housing. Please use the special offering envelopes which will be in the pews on Christmas Eve and Day.
The Church Office will close at Noon on Wednesday, December 24, and the Office and buildings will remain closed the following week, December 29-31. The Finance Office will be available from Tuesday, December 30 from 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. and Wednesday, December 31 from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon to accept year-end contributions.
