February 25: Lent through the lens of art - Dr. Judy Mann
Our first guest speaker will be Judith W. Mann, senior curator of European art to 1800 at the St. Louis Art Museum. Since joining the museum in 1988, she has reinstalled the collections of Medieval, Renaissance, Baroque, and 18th-century European paintings and sculptures three times and organized two major international exhibitions.
March 4: Lent through the lens of music - Dr. Jeffrey Carter
Jeffrey Richard Carter is professor in the Department of Music at Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was chair of the department for 13 years until 2021. He holds the Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Conducting from the University of Kansas, and the Master of Arts degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Central Missouri.
March 11: Lent through the lens of food - Christina Johnson
Christina Johnson is a fine-dining chef whose cuisine reflects both global refinement and heartfelt hospitality. Raised between the United States and her native New Zealand, Christina developed an early appreciation for diverse ingredients, cultures, and the way food connects people across borders. She trained at Le Cordon Bleu, grounding her craft in classical technique and precision, and later earned an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland.
March 18: Lent through the lens of art (part 2) - David Brinker
David Brinker is Director of the Museum of Contemporary Religious Art (MOCRA) at Saint Louis University, where he fosters interfaith understanding through art. A musician, arranger, and longtime advocate for the arts, David serves as Chair of the Visual Arts Committee for Arts & Faith St. Louis, and his leadership has helped shape a space where contemporary art and sacred meaning meet.
