Lectio Divina: Based in the monastic tradition, Lectio Divina involves a slow contemplative praying of a Bible passage(s). It differs from Bible Study in that it is reading God’s word more with the heart than the head.  “Lectio divina,” (literally “holy reading)” begins with cultivating the ability to listen deeply, to hear “with the ear of our hearts” the words of Holy Scripture. 

The Rev. Susie Skinner will lead the group in praying the scripture readings for the coming Sunday.  The group will meet each Thursday morning through Lent, 2/19, 2/26, 3/5, 3/12 and 3/19, 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Elliot Room.
