Holy Week 2026

3/11/26

Holy Week 2026

As we enter Holy Week, we step into the most sacred days of the Christian year — a profound journey through Christ’s passion, death, and resurrection. Each day carries its own meaning, inviting us to reflect, pray, and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter. Below is a brief look at what each day represents, along with the services and events offered throughout the week.

Palm Sunday – The Triumphal Entry

Sunday, March 29 · Services at 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Holy Week begins with Palm Sunday, when we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Crowds welcomed Him with palm branches and shouts of “Hosanna!” — a moment that ushers us into the paradox of joy and sorrow that marks the week ahead.

Join us for worship as we bless palms and recall this powerful moment in the Gospel.

Holy Monday – Meditations for Holy Week

Monday, March 30 at 6:00 p.m.
Poetry and Music: “A Marian Passion Ballad”

Holy Monday invites quiet reflection as we move deeper into the story of Christ’s final days. This year, we will gather for an evening of poetry and music, offering a contemplative space through “A Marian Passion Ballad.”

Maundy Thursday – The Lord’s Supper & the Call to Service

Thursday, April 2

  • Morning Prayer – 7:30 a.m. in Grace Chapel
  • Holy Eucharist & Stripping of the Altar – 6:00 p.m.
  • Altar of Repose available in Grace Chapel until Good Friday

On Maundy Thursday, we remember the Last Supper and Jesus’ commandment to love one another as He loves us. The evening concludes with the solemn Stripping of the Altar, preparing our worship space — and our hearts — for the starkness of Good Friday.
The Altar of Repose will remain open for prayer and quiet devotion throughout the night and through Good Friday.

Good Friday – The Passion of Our Lord

Friday, April 3

  • Liturgy of the Day – 12:00 noon
  • Stations of the Cross – 6:00 p.m.

Good Friday is a day of deep reflection as we remember the crucifixion of Jesus. At noon, we gather for the traditional Good Friday liturgy. In the evening, we walk the Stations of the Cross — a moving devotion tracing Christ’s final steps to Calvary.

Holy Saturday – A Morning of Hope & Joy

Saturday, April 4 at 10:00 a.m.
Holy Saturday Service & Egg Hunt

Holy Saturday begins in quiet remembrance as we reflect on Christ’s time in the tomb. Our brief service honors this solemn moment, followed by a joyful egg hunt on the lawn — a reminder that even in silence, hope is preparing to break forth.

Easter Day – The Resurrection of Our Lord

Sunday, April 5

  • Holy Eucharist in Laird Garden – 6:00 a.m.
  • Holy Eucharist in the church – 7:30, 9:00, and 11:00 a.m.
  • Breakfast in the Undercroft – 8:30–10:30 a.m.

Easter morning bursts with the joy of the Resurrection — Christ’s victory over death and His gift of new life for all. We begin at dawn in the beauty of Laird Garden, followed by three joyful services in the church. A festive breakfast will be served in the Undercroft, and nursery care is available during the 9:00 a.m. service.
