Covid Breakthrough Notification
On Wednesday, September 29, St. Peter’s was notified that a worshipper at last Sunday’s 10:30 service tested positive for a breakthrough case of COVID-19 on Monday. The individual was fully vaccinated, asymptomatic, and wearing a mask continually while inside the church. Out of an abundance of caution, we are contacting those we believe were in “close contact” with the individual during worship or coffee hour. (CDC guidelines define “close contact” as being within six feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period.) Conferring with the doctors serving on our Parish Reopening Steering Group, we believe there is an extremely low risk of exposure for anyone worshipping with us last Sunday, thanks to the individual being fully vaccinated and the mask mandate in effect inside our buildings. We are grateful and happy to report that the person who tested positive is feeling close to 100%. Thanks to everyone for caring for one another by wearing a mask indoors, and getting vaccinated!
