Christmas Services 2023
CHRISTMAS EVE & CHRISTMAS DAY SERVICES
This year, the Fourth Sunday of Advent and Christmas Eve fall on the same Sunday, December 24. Because of this, St. Peter’s will have only one service of Holy Eucharist at 8:00 a.m. for the Fourth Sunday of Advent. Christmas Eve services begin at 4:00 p.m., which is the family Christmas Pageant with Eucharist; following that, there will be Christmas Eve services at 6:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. David Sinden will perform an Organ Recital of Christmas music preceding the 11:00 p.m. service. A service of Holy Eucharist will be celebrated on Christmas Day at 10:00 a.m.
CHRISTMAS EVE ORGAN RECTIAL
On Christmas Eve, December 24, at 10:30 p.m., David Sinden will perform an Organ Recital of Christmas music preceding the 11:00 p.m. service. The recital includes music by American composers Pietro Yon, Samuel Barber, Richard Purvis, Russell Schulz-Widmar, and George Baker.
CHRISTMAS OFFERING
It is a tradition of St. Peter’s to designate a Christmas Offering to support the work and ministry of those with whom we partner in the community. The offering this year will provide funds for a new ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Missouri, the Just Food Truck, which will provide healthy meals to those in food deserts within the St. Louis area. If you would like to make a gift, please visit our Vanco page or use the special offering envelopes during a Christmas Eve or Day service.
